Suitable for foreign retirees aged 50 years or above who plan to reside in Thailand long-term. This visa is a Non-Immigrant category and can be renewed annually, providing a stable and legal retirement solution. Applicants are required to meet specific financial requirements and submit a health certificate and police clearance certificate. It is intended for retirees — or their spouses — who wish to enjoy Thailand’s lifestyle, climate, and healthcare services.

  • Copy of Passport Data Page
     – Valid for at least 12 months

  • Recent Half-Length Color Photograph
     – White background, taken within the last 6 months

  • Completed Visa Application Form (signed)

  • Proof of Financial Means (one of the following or combination)
     • Thai bank deposit of at least 800,000 THB, maintained for at least 2 months
     • Proof of monthly income of at least 65,000 THB (e.g., pension, rental income, etc.)
     • Or a combination of deposit and income totaling 800,000 THB

  • Copy of Bank Book (Passbook) and a Bank Letter showing account holder’s name and balance

  • Police Clearance Certificate (issued by the applicant’s home country authority, in English)

  • Medical Certificate (showing no serious infectious diseases, in English or Thai)

  • Proof of Residence in Thailand (e.g., property title deed copy, rental agreement, or invitation letter)

  • Others (if applicable):
     • Marriage certificate if applying together with spouse
     • Any additional documents required by the consulate (e.g., proof of income sources, additional photographs, etc.)

📌 Important Notes for Applicants

  • Age Requirement: Applicants must be at least 50 years old on the date of application.

  • Financial Requirements:
     – Thai bank deposit of not less than 800,000 THB, maintained for at least 2 months;
     – Or monthly income of not less than 65,000 THB (e.g., pension, rental income);
     – Or a combination of income and savings totaling 800,000 THB.

  • The source of funds must be legal. The consulate or immigration office reserves the right to request additional explanations or supporting documents.

  • Employment is strictly prohibited: applicants are not allowed to work or engage in any business activities, including online income or consultancy work.

  • This visa must be renewed annually, with financial proof submitted again at each renewal.

  • After arrival, holders must comply with residence reporting (TM30) and the 90-day reporting requirement, otherwise fines may be imposed.

  • The visa cannot be converted into other visa types within Thailand, unless special approval is granted.

  • Visa fees are non-refundable, regardless of approval outcome.
