Multiple-Entry Tourist Visa (METV)

The Multiple-Entry Tourist Visa (METV) is suitable for frequent travelers to Thailand, whether for visiting family, tourism, or short-term exploration. With this visa, holders can enter Thailand multiple times within a 6-month validity period, with each stay permitted up to 60 days — eliminating the need for repeated visa applications.

  • 📌 Important Notes for Applicants

    • Visa validity and usage
This visa is valid for 6 months, during which holders may enter and exit Thailand multiple times. Each stay is limited to a maximum of 60 days.

    • Duration per entry must be controlled
Even if the visa is valid, each entry must not exceed 60 days. Extensions may be requested at the Immigration Bureau.

    • Employment and business strictly prohibited
This visa is strictly for tourism purposes only. Employment or any profit-making activities in Thailand are strictly forbidden.

    • Higher financial requirements
Consulates generally review applicants’ financial stability to ensure sufficient funds for their stay in Thailand.

    • Ongoing proof of travel and accommodation
Some consulates may require additional supporting documents such as confirmed return flights and accommodation bookings. It is recommended to prepare a travel plan for smoother approval.

    • Higher fees, non-refundable
The METV fee is higher than a single-entry tourist visa. Visa fees are non-refundable regardless of approval outcome or whether the visa is used.

    • No conversion to other visa categories
Once in Thailand, this visa cannot be converted into other visa types (e.g., work visa, education visa, or long-term residence visa).
